ORION-CUSTOM ACTION FIGURE

Here is My very first toy design entry for this blog. I proudly introduce DC Comics own, Orion! Orion is a custom Mego styled action figure complete with handmade costume, and sculpted head by yours truly. If You are not familiar with Mego Toys, a great place to visit is The Mego Museum (Probably my favorite site on the internet). KREDULANN CREATURE DESIGN

Way back when, while attending art school at F.I.T, I whipped up this alien creature sketch to serve as reference for an assigned pulp style painting featuring an alien/monster of our own design. Part two of the assignment was to create a maquette sculpture of the very same alien/monster. Somewhere along the line the painting fell through the cracks, but thankfully the maquette remains.
